"I've got this friend…"
Lukas looks up from his drink. Never before in this bar has a tablemate actually tried to start a conversation with him, and he likes it that way. He's in no mood for talking. But the man doesn't stop.
"Do you now."
The blonde across the table grins at him. "He's a handsome devil. But he's lonely as hell."
"Is he."
"He acts cool for his friends, and he does his best to make sure everyone around him is happy. Really though, he's just a romantic sap who wants someone to fall in love with."
"Hm."
"But I think, if that person came along, he'd make them happier than they've ever been. He's just not sure how to find that person."
Lukas studies him for a moment. Ever though his eyes contain the trace of a smile, he is completely serious. And is he really drunk, or does the man's hair seem to defy all the laws of physics? Maybe both. His thoughts aren't coming out correctly.
"I've got a friend too," Lukas says, smiling bitterly at the glass in his hand. "He thought he was just the greatest. He didn't think anyone could not love him, so he just waited around for someone to come and confirm just how amazing he was." He snorts. "Then he realized that he was just a bastard that no one liked."
"I'm sure people like him."
"No. He's cold, and he doesn't know what love is, not really. Now he's just hoping that someday, someone will come along and find something good about him, because he sure can't anymore. Maybe if someone came along he could figure out how…how love's supposed to feel…"
"They should meet."
"Hm."
"Your friend sounds great."
"I suppose."
"I'd never hurt you, you know. Not ever."
"I don't believe you."
And then he lets the man snake an arm around his waist and pull him into a hesitant, terrifying kiss.

'I just don't know anymore. I still think he's cool and all that but... God! Listen to myself! Get a grip!' Denmark mentally facepalmed himself. This was his boyfriend he was thinking about! But there was always that niggling little thought...
Maybe we don't love each other anymore...
Denmark dismissed the thought angrily but one look at Norway's cold, emotionless expression staring across the pond they were sat by reminded him that it had been harder than usual lately. Hell, Denmark had even been finding excuses not to see Norway! And oh boy, did that make him feel bad...
Denmark, trying to

Pain in the Back (DenmarkxCanada)
It was after the arctic council meeting where Matthew really felt the consequences of watching a scary movie with Alfred. To elaborate his consequence, it was not just any scary movie; Alfred decided to brave watching Paranormal Activity...and Matthew thought he should have been Belarusian or Lithuanian to have agreed. Why someone would ask, having the words "Alfred", "watching", "ghost movie" without "not" between the first and second words only equalled death. Having to watch one of the most disturbing films produced yet was overkill.
Lucky for him that he's a nation, his lumbar, spinal tendons and nerves having gone through Alfred's atomi

Hate: SuFin Oneshot
Berwald hates me.
Why else would he glower at me peevishly every time we make eye contact?
Why else would he only reply in grunts and unintelligible mumbles whenever I talk to him?
But sometimes, Berwald will show sporadic acts of kindness, and those capricious deeds will have me wishing with every fiber of my being that I could tell him, right then and there, that
I love him.
I recall the night we ran away from Matthias together, and how he had covered me with his blanket until he was sure that I was warm.
I flashback to the day where he had arbitrarily called me his 'wife,' even though I'm sure that he had only been joking. I had

I like how you never actually mention the guy's name.
Even though we all think we know who it is.
